Saipal Academy and Rupy´s International School on Tuesday lifted the titles of the Second Ace Inter A Level College Basketball Tournament in girls´ and boys´ categories respectively. In the girls´ final held at the National Sports Council covered hall, Saipal thrashed Rupy´s 25-12 with eight points each from Ritu Majhi and Sabita Luitel.

In the boys´ section, Chhimi Gyaljen´s 19 points guided Rupy´s to a 39-35 victory over the host Ace Institute in extra time. After the regular time ended 32-32, Rupy´s scored 7-3 in the extra time to take the title. Biplav Malla of Rupy´s and Maya Rai of Saipal were adjudged the most valuable players of the tournament.

Oasis School beat Baba Boarding School 16 – 13 in Boys section while Bagmati School beat Baba Boarding School 12 – 05 in Girls category to lift the 1st OASIS CUP Kathmandu (KATH) valley Inter School 3×3 basketball championship.

Total of 16 Boys and 16 Girls school teams participated in the two-day exciting 3×3 event. Nepal Basketball Association provided technical support for the event.

After the encouragement and workshop by Nepal Basketball Association (NeBA) with regarding to 3×3 basketball, many colleges and schools are now organizing 3×3 events in their locality.
